Online co-op · 1-4 players
One shop. Four registers. Zero trust.
Everyone works a register and sells from the same shelves, so somebody is going to sell the stake. The host's save is the crew's save.
room code
How it works
Open up in four steps.
The host clicks Host Shop
From the main menu (in the browser demo or the desktop game). The host's current save loads: same storefront, same cash, same cursed doll in the back.
Share the room code
The game shows a short code like GNMZ. Paste it in Discord, text it, yell it across the room.
Friends join
They pick Join Shop and type the code, or enter it on this page. Each player spawns at their own register. Drop-in mid-night is allowed; the next customer just picks the shortest line.
Progress saves to the host
Cash, stock, unlocked storefronts and the combo journal all live in the host's save. Guests keep their cosmetics and journal discoveries. If the host leaves, the shop closes for the night and the save is kept.
Shared drawer
One stock, one cash drawer, four people with opinions about pricing.
Scales with the crew
More players means longer lines, more customers per night and nastier surprises.
Find a crew
Short a cashier? The Discord has an #lfg-coop channel.
Connection details
- Browser demo and direct download: rooms go through our relay server (
wss://relay.thatsnotforsale.com). The host's machine runs the game; the relay only forwards messages and never stores your save. - Steam version: uses Steam lobbies and friend invites ("+ Invite" in the pause menu). No codes needed.
- Can't connect? Make sure everyone is on the same game version (shown on the main menu), and that school or work networks aren't blocking WebSockets.
